Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the permitted and prohibited uses of the Khan SEO Audit platform. All users must comply with this policy in addition to our Terms of Service.
2. Permitted Use
You may use Khan SEO Audit to:
- Audit websites you own or manage
- Audit websites for which you have written authorization from the owner
- Generate reports for internal analysis or client delivery
- Schedule recurring audits for monitoring purposes
- Use the API (Agency plan) for integration with your own tools
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Service to:
- Audit websites without the owner's consent
- Conduct competitive intelligence gathering at scale against competitors' websites without authorization
- Overwhelm or degrade third-party servers by triggering excessive crawl requests
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or plan restrictions
- Create multiple accounts to bypass free-tier limitations
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the audit algorithms or proprietary logic
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without an Agency plan agreement
- Upload, transmit, or store malicious code, malware, or phishing content
- Use the Service for any illegal activity or to facilitate harm to others
- Abuse the auto-fix feature to inject harmful content into websites
4. Rate Limits and Fair Use
Each plan has defined audit limits. Automated or scripted usage that exceeds reasonable patterns may be throttled or suspended. API access (Agency plan) is subject to a fair-use rate limit of 60 requests per minute.
5. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the websites you audit and any fixes you apply through the platform. Khan SEO Audit does not monitor, review, or take responsibility for the content of audited websites.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@khanconsulting.ch. We investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
7. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Warning and request to cease the prohibited activity
- Temporary suspension of account access
- Permanent termination of your account
- Legal action where applicable
We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation and to take action at our sole discretion.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated to users. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
